All the encryption in the world will not help you if your computer becomes
physically compromised via environmental factors, theft, or intrusion.
It is pretty obvious that you should make sure that your computer is not
located in an area that would make it susceptible to fire, water,
corrosive agents of any kind, flooding, shock, externally generated
electro-magnetic radiation, or other physical dangers such as falling
objects. This is an area we are pretty certain you can handle yourself.
However, the two areas that you should be thinking about that are not so
straightforward are protecting your machine against:
Theft
and
Intrusion by outsiders
